...ho incontrato Giuliano Pisapia.

Yeah ... the candidate for Mayor of Milan.
I met him at the House of Culture in via Burgundy 3 Tuesday night at the meeting "Bausch, who?" IDV Milan organized by young people.
I do not do politics ... but I deal with urban planning and, unfortunately, I can not ignore this dirty beast. But I must say that Tuesday's meeting was really interesting and it confirmed my expectations.
I was already in contact with the issue Giuliano Pisapia House Merezzate and I was glad to meet him in person. I was especially pleased that he mentioned the struggle of the peri-urban committee "Merezzate Park!" with knowledge of the facts. His gentle voice on the phone, I had heard months ago, confirmed the behavioral image I had formed of him from reading his book.
Tuesday, starting with an analysis of youth issues and proposals, presented his program, a program that seems more urban than merely political. Pisapia is building the real participation by citizens through the Workshop for the City, a real and virtual space structured in 11 thematic groups with citizens investigate issues and defines goals for Milan future. More than 1000 people involved.
I'm still a bit 'of hard to believe but this time it seems that the optimism is blinding me ... someone actually makes participation before and not after deciding to impose absurd choices! (... And my mind goes to sudden and unexpected leaflets E.CO.POLIS. That the new apartments to advertise Merezzate more than a year ago and no one yet knew nothing of the absurd municipal project ...).
It also seems that there are candidates on the staff of planners who are planners ...! not the pizza chefs, receptionists, jobs or just show up autocad packages of pre-war maps.
It all seems so strange ... yet it seems that the Strategy Pisapia is truly democratic, genuine and valuable, it seems that really starts from the desire of a citizen to return to live in Milan a beautiful, green and joyful. In fact, do not underestimate that Giuliano Pisapia, in his book that tells his candidacy from the election race to win the primaries, using different points in the term "happiness".
[Partha Dasgupta: You are not alone! Even in Italy there are visionaries! :)]
That said: I vote in the May!
